scp

The scp command in Linux is used for securely copying files between a local and a remote host, or between two remote hosts.

let's assume we have

cloud username - ram cloudvmip - 102.33.8.111 ssh key in local - aws.pem

Basic Syntax Copying from local to remote

scp -i ~/.ssh/aws.pem /path/to/local/file ram@102.33.8.111:/home/ram

Copying from remote to local

scp -i ~/.ssh/aws.pem ram@102.33.8.111:home/ram/failed.log /home/local/Downloads
